The project
As part of the digitalization plan of Residenza del Sole, a cooperative in Cinisello Balsamo active in social and health services, Gnucoop developed iRSA, an application that brings information about activities and meals directly into each resident's room, through a tablet installed there.
iRSA integrates data already collected by the systems in use in the facility (Zucchetti Health Care for activities and location, Granmenu for meal orders) and returns it in a simple interface: one tap on their own photograph shows the resident the schedule for the day and the meal choices, also in audio mode. A dedicated panel allows administrative staff to synchronize data and edit the data of individual guests.
The backend is based on Python, FastAPI and PostgreSQL, for a solid system that is easy to integrate with the existing infrastructure. The project includes the installation of 60 tablets covering the entire facility.
