The project
BIGA: the platform that turns warehouse data into decisions
For CLO (Cooperativa Logistica Ortomercato), Gnucoop developed BIGA, an ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) platform that automates the entire data life cycle: from import and cleaning to visualization and querying through artificial intelligence. Applied to the management of warehouse movements, BIGA allows even non-technical staff to independently analyze daily operations.
The system automatically imports data from remote sources, cleans it by recognizing anomalies and normalizing formats, and then loads it into a database optimized for large volumes. From this data, BIGA automatically calculates key indicators related to operators: the items received and the time spent on the different processing phases, making continuously visible information that previously required manual processing.
An interactive dashboard makes it possible to explore the results by filtering data by period and value, dynamically choosing the dimensions of analysis and viewing the indicators in both graphical and tabular form. The "Ask BIGA" module completes the platform by allowing data to be queried in natural language, for example by asking for the average processing time in a given period, and getting immediate answers without writing queries.
The platform is built with a containerized and secure architecture, with authentication and role-based data access, designed to be easily deployed for multiple clients.
