In recent years ISPI, in collaboration with Gnucoop, has offered an intensive professional workshop on the critical and structured use of artificial intelligence in international cooperation work. The course, the first of its kind in Italy, was aimed at people working in project design, management, monitoring and reporting, and accompanied participants from an intuitive use of AI to a professional practice that is verifiable and consistent with the sector's real processes.

Over two intensive days, for a total of 16 hours, participants worked on three highly transferable workflows rooted in the project cycle: from call to proposal, from evidence to report, and from the document base to the internal decision. The course also covered the governance of AI in organizations (internal policies, use of data, human oversight, accountability) and the ethical and political implications of adopting these tools in cooperation, including technological asymmetries between the Global North and South.

At the end, participants received a kit of reusable tools: operational workflows, verified prompts, a matrix for choosing the most suitable tools for each use case, and a personalized plan for adapting them to their own professional context.
